Tucson employees now get Cesar Chavez birthday off, but The 4th of July is no longer a holiday! Have the people that run this city forgotten what country it is in?

Where did you hear that the City of Tucson doesn't observe Independence Day as a holiday?

According to the city website, paid holidays include both Cesar Chavez Day and Independence Day. Here's the link: City Holidays | Official website of the City of Tucson

Maybe OP doesn't realize Independence Day is the same as the 4th of July.
