We'll be in Tulsa for a bmx race Thanksgiving weekend, and would love to eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal at a decent restaurant. Any suggestions??

Honestly, if you want a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, I would go to the Green Onion on 61st between Yale and Harvard. They always have a traditional dinner, but you might have a little bit of a wait.

Let's see........traditional Thanksgiving dinner.........

In my house growing up, we ate way too much. Had lots of Turkey, ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green onions, relish, olives, gravy, biscuits, rolls, several kinds of dressing, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie.....went back two or three or six times to refill the plate, lots of tea and coffee.

I would do a buffet.......my favorite is the Wild Potato at the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa.

The Green Onion is omg EXPENSIVE. But then again it might not be for some people, who knows. I think Ryan's Steak House and Buffet is realllly good. Just west of 21st and Garnett. Probably cost ya less than $10 a person.

BTW .... the buffet at the Cherokee Casino beats all. The price is about $20 a person which includes a non alcoholic drink, but those other places can't hold a candle to it.

We have a family of 5, but will probably have at least one or two other families joining us...

I second the Green Onion, but that will be expensive.

You could always go to the Honey Baked Ham store in Tulsa, grab one of those. Go to Reasors or Walmart and grab all the fixin's, and have a traditional meal in your hotel room.

I doubt they'll be able to get a table there, especially with such a large party. Besides, the food isn't that great and the service even less.

I stand by the Cherokee Casino ..........

Copeland's Of New Orleans

Copeland's of New Orleans - CAJUN FRIED TURKEYS (http://www.alcopelandinvestments.com/turkey/ - broken link)

The second link is a picture of their turkey dinner. I know that this restaurant is a chain, but if you don't have one close I think it would be a good place. I think the turkey dinner is 14.99. Looks real good to me. It is a neat place with very good food. Very easy to get to as well. Enjoy your stay in Tulsa!!!
