I have to agree with Happywacko on this one. I also hear that Oklahoma is a great place to raise kids. But I just saw in the paper this week that we are 49th in the nation on the amount of money we spend per kid on education. Our Okie Redneck lawmakers don't like to spend money on Education.

To name a few:
- one of the best traffic in the nation (Tulsa)
- Gilcrease museum - the best and the largest collection of Native American Arts.
- One of the top three graduate programs in the nation in internet security.
- The most inland sea port (Port of Catoosa).
- Also, I thing that OK is the state with the strongest conservative (often, though, I would use a stronger word than "conservatives" to define some of the people here) electorate and representatives. I think there is NO any comparable senator to James Inhofe (keeping in mind how long he holds his seat)!

Out of these, I think that Gilcrease is a truly remarkable national treasure.

I was thinking of our state song. It is way more famous than any other state song and people all over the world know "Oklahoma!"

I was in a bar in Germany a few years back and a group of Germans ask what park of the US I was from. I told them I was from Oklahoma. Well to make a long story a lot shorter about 10 minutes later the whole bar was singing "Oklahoma!" They knew the words as well as I did!
