Well it's about time, I have been hearing about this for a while. Loud commercials make falling asleep with the tv on very unpleasant!

Finally, some GOOD news for a change.

Next on my TV wish list: How about lowering the volume on the background music so you can hear the dialog.

Oh joy hope they do it before I go deaf....Also wish there were some folks to help us to complain about all the infomacials that take over the TV after eleven at night until the early morning hours. What happened to late nite TV for the folks that work the late shifts. and what about all the repeats?
I have direct TV suppose to have over two hundred channels, yeah right.
I watch about four or five of my favorite when they are not repeats.

And what do you think about all the junk they are putting on?
outlandish... take off the good shows to put garabage on and we have no say in it. Just pay the bill.

I used to think people complaining about the commercials being louder, were just being whiny. But in the last year or so it's gotten so much worse, that it's even starting to bother me. It's not done on all shows - thankfully - but on the shows or channels where it does happen, it can be really annoying!

I'm glad to hear it's going to change!

Really Congress is wasting its time with that? I'm glad there's nothing else going on in the country. I have a MUTE button on my remote. It works very well.

this was a rule in the Federal Communications Commission for MANY MANY years......but they couldnt be bothered to enforce it.....seemed to fall apart about 20 years ago and has gotten progressively worse.
