Just not my kind of show, which is why I'm surprised I enjoyed the original 90210, and I will probably eventually buy the original series on DVD. Just don't have any interest in the new show though, nothing could replace the original characters IMO.

Won't quite be the same without Dylan & Brandon, but we'll see!

Oh, and like the 90s version, the students all look WAY too old for high school... LMAO. I've also never seen such a long-legged & gorgeous group of students in my life. But I guess that's the whole point, huh?
i don't think there were any asians on there either...

Yes there was - Janet. Steve married her and they had a baby. Can't think of her real name right now but she started out on one of the soaps. Andrea hooked up with Jessie who was Latino. Granted the major stars were as white as can be but they did add to the cast as the show aged.

I will not watch the new one though, it just doesn't look all that good to me and even bringing back a couple of the original characters won't be enough to bring me back as a viewer. I hope it's good for those of you that will tune in though.
I agree with you. The teen shows they make these days are just awful. I'd rather remember (and rewatch on Soapnet!) the original.

I also heard Donna wasn't coming back b/c they dissed Tori Spelling on the pay.

I heard that too. But she was never that good of an actress. She only made it b/c of her dad. Although I HATE (as much as I can someone I don't know) Shannon Daugherty and the character of Brenda Walsh. She was no where near the level of pretty that Jenny Garth was or is or even Tori Spelling and she acted like she was the prettiest of the group. Her character was a whiny brat. I was soooooooo glad when she left.

Me to, when she left I felt the show got better.

I think it should be done in an Alien vs Predator style, sort of Beverly Hills 90210 vs Buffy the Vampire Slayer all shot in the refectory at Torrance High.

Really? I think since Jenny Garth and Shannen Doherty are on the show, it will bring back some of the old vide from the original show.

Lindsey Price! I loved her..Janet was her name on the show. I actually liked Steve so much more b/c of her. She is on Lipstick Jungle now.

Ya, well they are are super tiny and look decently young. I am sure they will be seniors or something. Definitely don't think they will be freshies in high school.

I just don't see it that way. Their characters are no longer in their prime and I think the original show pretty much got out of those characters what they could, they are also surrounded by a completely different supporting cast which just doesn't appeal to me. I hope you enjoy watching it though.
