The players on these shows seem to estimate the value of an item much more than a buyer will pay, since, what a buyer is willing to pay decides the worth. On a show only moments ago, the new owner of a unit eyed a ratty sofa propped on a wall, saying it would sell for $200. Never. More like $35, if that. I figure the regulars on these shows make more from what the individual show pays them than they make off a unit, except on a few occasions. What do you think?
I've thought the same thing....they rattle off prices they HOPE to get, it seems.
As with all "reality" shows, these storage vulture shows are fake. The newest scandal is the producers have valuables planted in the lockers so there is something interesting to "discover".
