I've been watching this show since its beginning and have really enjoyed it. The series finale will be coming up soon, and this season has been so sad. Is anyone else watching, and what are your thoughts about it?
I think they did a good job not making Cathy some kind of self-sacrificing super-woman. Even battling a terminal disease she can be funny, sweet, irritating, angry, sad, generous, mean, hilarious - a flawed but real person.

Agree. We have a close relative in the last stages of cancer and can relate our situation to this season. I especially like the scenes with Cathy and her brother. His character has evolved for the better because of Cathy's situation.

Great show. In my opinion, one of the best on television. Laura Linney and Oliver Platt are great. Looking forward to watching last night's episode. so sad that it's going off
