I don't know, this past episode had me thinking maybe I might not want to be home watching this at night after dark. Some scenes had me a tad bit scared out of beetlejuice.

LOL Like my SO. She loves this show so far and Grimm but in both cases has taken to half watching and half looking away occupied with something else while just listening. And yes sometimes not wanting to watch at night right before bed.

Ha, ha, that's pretty funny.
The TV show Grimm, doesn't really scare me, Monroe's presence adds way too much humor to that show for me to get into serious fright mode . Grimm is my number one favorite show, though breaking bad would have been serious competition for it had I been watching it back when it first started. Maybe.
I suppose it's more than a little like Grimm but I like Grimm a lot so that's okay. Also a bit of X-Files to it, with all the literal old files and investigating things that are not adequately explained by normal stuff. (Which, of course, you could also say about Grimm.) We are enjoying the two main characters and the interplay between them. I do continue to wonder how they can stretch this out for many seasons without it becoming repetitive or way off the original story. It seems like the longer they go the less it will have ever made sense to tie it to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow which could be a problem.
So they have a 13-show renewal; does anyone know if the first order was only 13 or did they commit to a full 26-ish season originally?
The first season is/will be 13 episodes as well, more along the lines of the cable seasons.
Works for me. I find the 22 episode seasons really hard to stick with anymore.

Interesting, thanks. I find it unusual that they are planning a regular network slot as 13. Happens for mid-season replacement but for one starting in Sept usually what happens is they complete a full order of 22 or so. Whatever works. I don't prefer going so long between the new eps but I suppose it could work to keep it fresher longer. Also might give me a chance to see more different shows. I'm about at my reasonable limit right now with 7 or 8 hours a week.

I'm sure the plan is for Sleepy Hollow to run until the new year, and then The Following will begin it's second season in that time slot and run until May...
I am enjoying this show.
But will it have to run 7 seasons to match the 7 years these two have to fight together to battle evil?
I keep thinking about that too. Like Star Trek had to stop after 5 years because it's "5 year mission" was over. I don't see Sleepy Hollow lasting 7 years though. If they do a year every "season" and the seasons come on twice a year though, I can see that going 3 1/2 years.
