I actually gave up watching after the first few episodes. :/ Are they STILL in the hotel? But I think the show has taken kind of a slide since season six or so.

The early seasons of HIMYM are genius, and genuinely some of the funniest, best-written and most entertaining comedy around.

However, I stopped watching somewhere around season 6, and now am just casually watching to see how the show ends. The quality has really decreased and I feel this is a perfect example of a show continuing long past its prime.

If this spin-off could match (or come close to matching) the brilliance of the early HIMYM seasons, I'd be on board and it could be interesting to see how the Mom met Ted. I just don't have faith that they can pull it off given the quality of HIMYM over the last few years.

No.

I can't stand Ted. I don't want to see how that poor girl finally settled down and chose him.
