I searched for a thread and there wasn't one, probably doesn't need its own thread but.
I thought last nights show was particularly great. Matt Damon, Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham) and........BILL MURRAY! He had never done a British talk show before and doesn't do them in the states all that often, mostly the Letterman show when he does a gag bit.
They were just such a good group together and had a loose funny time. I felt so great when Matt Damon ended with "this is the most fun I've ever had a talk show" - so validating! Graham's show is so much better than the lawyered down shows here in the states.
Had never seen the show before but caught an episode recently and have to agree it was much better than any of the other talks shows on the air. The episode I watched on video demand was with Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, James Corden. I agree the show had a loose style and everyone seemed to be having a good time which in turn made some great entertainment.
The only thing I miss is from his older shows -- the audience participation. The Red Chair is funny... but -- He would ask them to bring in some thing from their lives -- like an old autograph book, or kitchen utensil or share a memory, and then use it for a skit in the show or just make fun of the whole thing -- it was very funny.
I like his format where all the stars are brought on at once, and they all interact together, rather than the typical format where they bring on one guest, talk to them only, then move on to the next one, and talk only to them, etc. That contributes a great deal to the more informal feel. It also encourages the viewer to watch the whole hour rather than just watching the part with the celebrity you wanted to see.

I agree. Agree with all the comments. Love this show and always laugh so much.
Love Graham! Never heard of his show until a few years ago, when I had just become unemployed. Through OnDemand, I watched a whole season in a week -- cheered me up immensely!!
Just caught a recent one (Fall 2014) with Huge Grant and Emma Thompson -- those two together were hysterical!! They've known each other since college and have worked together several times. Wonderful to see all the ribbing they were giving each other.
Graham is excellent and the format keeps it from being a infromercial for a single celebrity plugging his/her latest project for 8 minutes or trying to make up stupid stories about their kids.
