Are your tired of the media and the way it covers news in the USA. Do you find subject matter that is news worthy is given lesser coverage than say Brittney Spears. I think it is out of control, and I fear news coverage can sway elections especially with their constant political polls on Presidential Candidates. Using these polls right up to the moment the polls open.

The whole Britney stuff is spiraling out of control. I can take talk shows on E! and Comedy Central making fun of her, but on serious news programs....are you kidding? Same with her sister being prego at 16, who cares and how is that newsworthy?

Yes, I'm tired of the way the media covers news in America. And I agree that the polls shown on the news does sway votes. We need a media that serves the American people more that it's commerical advertisers and one that is based not just in New York City and LA but all across America and reflects the views of all Americans and not just a few.

The problem with the media is that it's agenda driven and ratings driven. You are better off finding a website online and getting your news quicker anyway.

I switch back and forth between the various 24 hour news channels and they are basically reporting the same news with a similar slant and talking points. I get the impression they are told what to say by the same big corporate chiefs. In a world of 6.5 billion people, can't they come up with different news stories and each be a little different?

Try the bbc news online. Generally reports on facts and is usually
unbiased. Most of what is on the news in not "news" anyway.

I agree, I have found the only news worth watching is the BBC.

Good suggestion, I used to watch the BBC when I lived in Britain, but I haven't watched it much lately. I know they air it on PBS at night. It wouldn't surprise me to find out they aired a radio broadcast as well.

Yes indeed. Its become nothing more then propaganda. Murdoch is a member of the Bildenberg organization. You see on the news what they want you to beleive and only that.
