Wow, that was an amazing episode! One of the bests of the season. Not sure about the significance of the ending though. Maybe space Miller is Phil's brother??????

I can't wait to see where they settle next!
If the series is canceled it was all the astronaut's fantasy as he drifted alone with no contact. The flip that everyone in Tucson is in a purgatory a la the TV series Lost

Interesting. But Lost wasn't purgatory.
I guess we will find out since it was renewed for season 2.
Awww, right in the feels! Loved that twist at the ending. Really looking forward to season 2. And "Tandy" going back to being Phil Miller 1.0! Last Man on Earth, indeed.. Awesome
I've seen all of the episodes so far. Honestly, I don't find it very funny. Guess it's so in-your-face stereotypical that I don't see the humor. I'll stick it out for a while out of curiosity. (sure enjoyed looking at "new Phil Miller", lol!)
I thought the last epside was good. The eating toothpaste and books in a pit of misery was funny. And the end with Carol was pretty heartfelt. I be the astronaut teaser moves them Houston, or some place to find and rescue his brother.
The last episode was one I actually liked. Carol and Phil do beling together hes just been too big of an ass to see it. Its not a great show, but it is different. which is what I liked about it. I suppose the lying is an essential part of Phils character but to me it was overused. I hope that Season 2 improves on this.
Could the astronaut have been Phil's brother? I loved the ending. All along I wasn't crazy about Carol until she told Phil that she would rather be with a guy who tried to leave someone out in the desert but couldn't than someone who actually could. So we see that for all his obnoxiousness, there is some hope for Phil and Carol sees it too.

I am enjoying the show, simply because it is different. The lying and getting caught bit did get old. Let's develop some of the other characters more.
Yes the astronaut is Phil's brother. Sudekis was there in like the first episode in the bar before the "calamity." And at the end he tells Carol about a brother.
It looks like we might not see the other cast anymore and perhaps we'll meet new people next season.
I liked the ending of the season and I can't wait for season 2!
