Why does Derek always get good young dancers? For once, can they just pair him up with the 60 year old grandma and make this competition a little fair to the other pro's.

Exactly. And he keeps saying he's not going to return. Quit saying it and do it!!

I'm glad Alex is going on tour and also the young Vine kid. I went to the tour last year and the show was so so fun. The pros or who makes the show for me, not the celebrities.

Lol, 60? Try 70--or the obligatory "inspiration."

Bindi danced her heart out and I'm happy for her; Bob was adorable!

In its current form, DWTS is weighed too heavily towards the judges' votes at the end. They never hid their displeasure when their favorites were jettisoned (we can remember them standing up with a look of consternation on their faces). Soon came the short-lived (thankfully) judges' "save," and now we have last-minute dances for judges to score. Lol, Tom and Erin have a lot of nerve asking Did the viewers vote to give you the trophy?

It's clear that, as the show progresses, and the judges take note of fan favorites who might not coincide with theirs, the judges-only votes are enough to push their picks over the top.

I usually enjoy the Finals but last night's show was the most drawn-out, un-entertaining Finals episode that I can remember ever seeing. Literally nothing happened during the first hour. I hope next season isnt as boring.

But I do agree with Marcy1210 who said that, once the first 4-5 stars are "voted off", the show always becomes very interesting. I've watched every season and have not gotten tired of it yet, which I cant say for any other show.

And I hope the show will be able to find more regular people like Alek. Bindi is used to being on TV but Alek was truly a diamond in the rough and a joy to watch every week.

I meant to say one more thing. When Bindi's father died, her mother Terri said that she'd had her "happy ever after" and couldnt/wouldnt want to find another man. In the nine years since, I've never seen Terri look happy. Even when her mouth is smiling, her eyes are so sad. She's done such a good job of raising her kids that It's almost heartbreaking to see how unhappy she is after all this time.

I was happy with the outcome. Bindi definitely earned the win.
I expect to see her younger brother out there dancing in a few more years.

He had Amber Riley a few years back. She wasn't the stereotypical "young and fit" contestant that he usually had, but he managed to take her all the way to the mirror ball and win it. She had problems with her knees, and he was able to choreograph around it. Just like last season when he was injured. He is brilliant. Yes, I'd like to see him with someone like me (50+, overweight, bad hips, etc.), but I'd bet he'd take them far beyond expectations if he did.

I've always said that Derek could win with a chair as his partner. But he was criticized (by everyone except the judges) when Amber was his partner because a lot of his choreography that season was based on sitting in chairs and leaning on tables. Amber didnt do nearly so much real dancing as other stars. And there wasnt that much competition that season either: Corbin Bleu came in second and Jack Osborne came in third -- 4th was Bill Engvall.

Corbin Bleu was the clear the winner that year and got robbed.

I also agree golden boy Derek could win with a chair.
