Don't know how I missed this one, but South Park was renewed last month for an additional 3 seasons. Next year was the final year of the existing contract.. So, we're guaranteed of 23 seasons and 304 episodes.

S19 - 2015
S20 - 2016
S21 - 2017
S22 - 2018
S23 - 2019

S19 start date is September 16th. Which, seems a bit early this year. Eh.. Only a week earlier than normal. I presume they're going to put the 'breaks' in as they did last year.. Where it wasn't 10 straight weeks of new episodes.

I dont get the appeal and usually tune out people who use references in their conversation. To each their own I suppose.

Biting commentary and equal opportunity offenders. Plus.. topicality.. Those are the three biggest appeals of the show for me.. Outside of it usually being drop dead funny.

I think, as with anything, it's gone downhill a bit, and only putting out 10 episodes a year.. I'd expect every one to be a home run.. But, with the production schedule.. Basically they put the entire show together, writing and everything, in 6 days.. There'll be misses.
