LOS ANGELES (AP) - Jewels and parties. Stars and stand-ins. Rehearsals and news conferences. So much swag even Hollywood canines could rack up free goodies. The city is abuzz with all things Oscar as celebrities flock from all over the world for Sunday's Academy Awards...
I haven't seen all the nominees either, though of the Best Picture nominees, I have seen all but Michael Clayton.
Javier Bardem should have it locked up for No Country--he was absolutely chilling.
I will be interested to see what wins in Documentary Features, art direction and costume design.
I hope I can stay awake long enough to see most of the Oscars, but if I fall asleep I suppose there is always YouTube in the morning.
I admit, I am shallow. I watch all the red carpet festivities just to see the jewelry, clothes and the gorgeous men.
Thank goodness for Tivo because my attention span would never allow me to sit through the whole show, I fast forward to the places I care about and ignore the rest.
Overall, everyone looked great tonight, I thought. Jennifer Hudson...wasn't too keen on her dress only because she is so big on top, and the dress really accented it. And Nicole Kidman, beautiful dress with beautiful jewelry, but it looked like her necklace was all over the place and needed to be straightened out. But these were minor things...everyone looked really good, no one I saw was dressed weird.
I watched the whole thing. I'm thinking of suing the Academy for punitive damages. What a waste of 3 1/2 hours of my life. This year was soo boring! This is the best the brightest stars in Hollywood could muster?
I watched it. No big surprises. It was good though...Jon Stewart was funny.
