I just watched the final season of the Flash. The series lasted one season longer than Arrow did.

But of the thirteen episodes of season 9, only four were really decent. Even the light-hearted episodes were missing something. The show lost its heart and a bit of its soul when the actors portraying Wells, Cisco and Elongated man departed the series around season six/seven. In my opinion, that was when the show started to go downhill.

The series finale was drawn out over four episodes- they could have done it in two. But it was still better than The Flash Movie. I think instead of showing the Ezra Miller cinematic debacle- perhaps they should have thrown the series finale on the big screen instead? Would it have made more money for Warner Brothers?
