Who remembers 1970s shows hosted by Sonny and Cher, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Donny and Marie Osmond, even Captain and Tennille and the Starland Vocal Band?

I watched Sonny and Cher to see her costumes...Tony Orlando I saw as well.

Was Ed Sullivan still going in the 70s?

You want me to remember one, all, or just a few?

I remember having a sort of crush on Toni Tennille thanks to that variety show (as much as an elementary-school kid can crush on a grown woman). Some of the first records I ever bought were C&T. Reading that C&T got divorced a few years ago disappointed me greatly.

It's more 1980 than 1970s, but another favorite of mine was Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. I recall it coming on Saturday nights and was quite well done. And I don't even like country music that much.
