Please, no. Enough with the "reboots", otherwise known as, we have no new ideas.
This just points to two things---the lack of talented writers and the paucity of creativity and guts on part of the money guys (and 99 percent are guys)...
Read article about Reese Witherspoon whose new production company signed a deal with Apple for a series w/her and Anniston -- two seasons w/o even a pilot--paying 12-15 million an episode---
GOT on HBO has 15 millions budget currently---
And it certainly required a more complex shooting schedule/teams and cast and CGI than this new series about a morning news show...money going to the talent and the production company
The streaming faction has turned the screws on writing--
No good scripts---no new episodes and certainly no new series
So---go back to the heyday of tv and resurrect a successful show---
Why do you think Roseanne is coming back???
Yeah, I loved Magnum PI. Great show. I hate the idea of them remaking the series. Are there any PI shows on now? The genre I can see coming back but not the old shows. It's super lazy. Anyhoo, I agree that Selleck is Magnum and no one else can touch that.
I haven't watched one complete episode of the new Hawaii 5-0. I just can't. It seems to be a popular show. Maybe these will catch on with those that have never seen the originals

I haven't even turned the new Hawai'i 5-0 on. I think that is who they are targeting....young people. Good luck to them. I have plenty of other options to watch.
