I enjoyed Police Women of Broward County last year, but there is something about Maricopa County that I just cannot stand. I can't pinpoint it, but there is something about it that is keeping me from getting into it the same way.

I've never watched the show in its entirety...the only reason I'd watch is to see the Arizona desert...I'm a sucker for the desert!

All Broward was to me was one long phone conversation between that one cop and her kid. I don't recall much else about that season. Maricopa is a much better setting IMO - right there on the boarder.

So I vote for this season.

You are experiencing inexperienced high school graduates who passed a relatively rudimentary training program who are now commissioned as law enforcement officers. In my state (Texas), we are peace officers. In this state, we are commissioned to keep the peace. 9 times out of 10 we don’t use tasers or drug puppies. We use our intellect and listen more and talk less. I will say we have some pretty stupid law enforcement officers with peace officer commissions by training whom neither deserve or should be allowed to be commissioned as law enforcement officers. At least we are smart enough to not be on TLC.

Apparently the constituents in Maricopa County like a tough on law enforcement Sherriff. That is their privilege. In my county, we care about and respect constitutional law. Their Sherriff is an embarrassment to my father, who was a County Sherriff in a County with over 300 square miles of area and had 250 commissioned peace officers.

Let the mudslinging begin.

I don't see how he is an embarrassment. he may not be perfect but no one is, not even your father.

I love the fact that he puts prisoners in tents, if they are good enough for the troops fighting in the desert they are good enough for the criminals. How is that an embarrassment?

He has cut costs by serving bologna (I grew up on bologna so its not all bad) and prevents theft of clothing by providing pink underwear. ( I can see you might be embarrassed to wear those)

I wish more sheriffs were like this.

yes I know he has some policies that are controversial, but I agree with most of what he does.

The Broward deputies were hotter.
The Maricopa deputies have pink handcuffs.

I dunno...that Kelly woman is hot. I would break her over like a double-barreled.

Most people in AZ love Sheriff Joe as he is "affectionately" known. He's got three million bucks in his war chest and people are begging him to run for governor.

I live in Maricopa County. When I first moved here it was a shock and a half to see my first chain gang. He puts them out on the roadside picking up trash. When it's 110 degrees. And yes, he feeds them green bologna sandwhiches, puts them in pink underware and houses them in tents out in the desert.

I, for one, do not plan on breaking the law.

I am not critical of the job the sheriff is doing, I am critical of the show. The show is awful, but the sheriff seems to be doing a great job.
