I've been telling Mark S about this for months.

A fan had noted months ago that the bearded former clone trooper Commander Rex in Rebels coincidentally happened to look like one of the actors playing rebel fighters on Endor in "Return of the Jedi."

Those watching Rebels should have noted that Rex has been drawn in that Endor battle gear in the last few episodes--Dave Filloni giving a nod to fan input.

The finale of Rebels also provides a set up to answer the question "Where did the First Order come from?" for those familiar with Admiral Thrawn's origins.

If only the movie writers had the sense to pick up on what the animators are doing.

Another thing is that Rebels gets political correctness right--with women as strong figures of skill and authority without making the male characters look stupid.

As soon as Disney produces a STAR WARS TV show that doesn't look like it was animated by an 11 year old on his iPad, I'll watch.

Strong women characters isn't political correctness. It's just good writing. Strong women have been part of great stories since Homer, Beowulf, Shakespeare, etc.

But your comment is well taken. Every guy character in the THE LAST JEDI was a moron.

I know there are several STAR WARS TV shows in the works. I sure would like to see one that doesn't revolve around Rebels vs Empire / Resistance vs First Order. That schtick has been played. Give us something else.
