Also, if you like Cheers type humor, one of the lead writers, and showrunner (head guy) for several years has a blog he writes daily. Full of the same type wit/humor as you saw on Cheers, plus great industry insight. Plus just darn funny.:
I'd say it was very good.. And it was a very good final episode.. Not so much the cast appearing live on the Tonight Show afterwards, as I recall.
Don't think I'd rank it quite as good as you're saying.. But I'm not arguing that it wasn't excellent.
The final episode ended things pretty well. If they hadn't brought Diane back, it would have probably lowered my view of the series as a whole, to be honest. And I think they made the right decision to not have Sam and Diane wind up together.
this is one of the best tv shows of all time, next to the cosby show, the sopranos and others.
That Thursday NBC lineup was awesome. Cosby, Cheers and Night Court. Epic.
