I just started re-watching Northern Exposure for the 3rd time through and got to wondering which shows will be the "new" classics.

I'd like to know which shows you watch again and again and enjoy them even though you remember exactly how it turns out or maybe you can even recite the script by heart.

Let's limit it to shows that were on the air from 1980 to present to eliminate those that are already classics like I Love Lucy, Barney Miller, Carol Burnett, and All in the Family.

The only one I can think of off hand is Northern Exposure. I hope y'all can refresh my memory on others.

Original Stargate.

Most of Supernatural. I don't care for much of seasons 11 & 12

Taxi - outstanding cast & the sharpest writing, but I haven't seen it in years now, don't know where it's hidden.

Which Series Can You Watch Over and Over?

It seems to me I am really stuck on Vikings, Saxons, Danes and Heathens lately and the only two series I have access to are The Last Kingdom (which I am mostly fond of) and Game of Thrones (which I find a bit vulgar in comparison to TLK).

Interestingly enough, every time I watch either of them I always catch something I had not seen before. I chalk that up to knowing (recognizing, connecting the dots of) all the characters and their development over the course of the seasons and episodes.

Eventually I am sure I will have burnout and not watch either of them for a long time.

It's a fairly ecclectic list:

The West Wing
Sex and the City
Beverly Hills 90210 (guilty pleasure)
NCIS
Downton Abbey
Mad Men
ER
The Tudors
Parenthood
Gilmore Girls
