There were also a few episodes with Tyne Daly in them, I liked them also.
"Undercover", the one with the picture cut into several pieces and each person had one, that was the puzzle was another of my really favorites.
I like Columbo's real life wife Shera Danese also, she was in 6 episodes that were all good.
But, the one episode I didn't care for was the one where Shera was in with the man that did the portraits, and had 3 wives. I forget the name of that one, I never liked that one that much, and it was just on a few Saturdays ago.
There were 2 episodes with Jack Cassidy, he was the book author, while I liked that episode, I found, and I know I am in the minority, but I really didnt like Jack Cassidy at all,I found him quite icky looking.
another real favorite was "Its all in the game", Fay Dunaway and her daughter kill the man that was dating the both of them, I really, really liked that episode a lot.
now after thinking of all these episodes there were OMG, so many that I truly did love.

I remember the Janet Leigh episode, despite being only about 9 years old when it aired. She was a beauty.
This is a great episode it’s really special the dance scene at the house. Janet Leigh wears a beautiful gown when they have the movie viewing and Columbo is wearing a tux. A lot of gem moments.
The first episode of Columbo - Prescription: Murder with Gene Barry is worth seeing. I really like him and would have liked to have seen him in more episodes.

I started watching Columbo when I was in college (it was already 20 years old by that point.) My father had been suggesting for years that I would enjoy it, but for a while I resisted, wondering how you could possibly enjoy a mystery where you knew who the killer was! I'm glad I ultimately relented, as I've watched and re-watched the show many times over the years.
I don't remember the episode title, but one of my favorite endings involved Columbo spotting a damning piece of evidence on the security tape that recorded the murder. This of course was long before home security cameras were a common feature in real life.
Anybody remember Mrs. Columbo? It was basically a spin-off where Columbo's distant (or ex) wife starting investigating her own mysteries, as a journalist. I don't think the series survived very long.

Mrs Columbo wasn't very good .....only Peter Falk can be Columbo ....he was Columbo!
Some of those Mrs Columbo episodes were tacked on to the Columbo DVDs ...I think seasons 6 & 7...

I never saw this show, but I've read about it. Apparently, the concept was such a failure that after maybe half a season they retooled it so she was no longer related to Columbo. It still tanked.
Season 1 - Dead Weight is really a great episode with Suzanne Pleshette, Eddie Albert. All filmed in the Newport Harbor in the early 70’s. I remember when Newport Harbor looked like this before the area was so crowded.
Eddie Albert’s home in this episode was Peter Falk’s real home.
Great writing and cast !
Ps Love Suzanne’s wardrobe very stylish 70’s ! my fav time !
