Speaking of dropped stories, I saw Ned Ashton on DoOL as Justin or something . . .
Wally Kurth had been working on both shows concurrently, but now is back on Days full-time. I think it's a fantastic idea to allow actors to work on a story arc on one show, and then another arc on another show -- both shows not only get good acting, but they also get continuity without characters coming and going and coming and going, ad nauseam.
Eileen Davidson is the current Queen of Crossovers, being allowed to play Ashley on Y&R and occasionally crossing back to Days to play Kristen. In her case it helps that both soaps are co-owned by Sony. In Wally Kurth's case I think he's only popping up for a day or two on GH to help close out his participation in the whole (irritating) Olivia/Leo/Julian plot, since he is indeed committed contractually to Days now. Since Nik blackmailed Brook Lyn into voting his way (off-screen) by holding the baby secret over her head, this is soon to be moot, once the truth about the baby comes out. Yet another opportunity for ELQ to go back to the Q's. And I desperately want TRACY to be on the other end of the phone call Hayden made ("I'm in!"), though y'all know I rarely get what I want.
So we know Paul tampered with the autopsy results on the body found at Pier 54 (I wonder if the other 53 piers are as deadly?), but I'm left wondering: was the body really Carlos's, and Paul just fudged the date of death; or was the body actually Kyle Sloane's, and Paul just fudged the identity by planting Carlos's ID? Someone casually asked "Ew, what happened to the face?" (ew, indeed) when the body was found. Only in Port Chuckles could you have so many dead bodies in the harbor that you could have a case of mistaken identity.
I'm glad they aren't making us wait a year for that reveal. If they increase the pacing on GH, I'll watch more frequently. I was actually looking forward to that reveal and it was a good scene. Loved the romantic scene between alexis and Julian too.

Alexis and Julian give hope to us 50+ year olds to have an active sex life!
Yes, and Kimberly McCullough's Robin will be back in November, which gives even more credence to the heavily-rumored departure of Jason Thompson's Patrick. Tristan Rogers left GH last time because they would not offer him a contract (and Y&R did). Now that Y&R treats Rogers like a background actor and not giving him much beyond comedy relief, maybe he figured out that meaty, part-time work is better than full-time set decoration? I mean, if your last name isn't Newman or Abbott on Y&R, you're nothing these days. Here's hoping we see Robert mixing it up again with Olivia, if only to see Lisa LoCicero in total fan-girl mode around Rogers.
I'm glad they shelled out a few bucks for Alexis and Julian to have a house (set), but that apartment set that Sabrina and Felix share needs to be retired pronto. That oh-so-fake brick paneling makes me roll my eyes every time I see it.

Based upon yesterday's episode, it appears that Anna also has a new house.
It's a bit...grand for one person, isn't it? I mean, I'm glad she finally got out of the MetroCourt, but the fancy staircase and the large drawing room seems more appropriate for a Quartermaine or a larger family, not a single woman on a civil servant's salary.
As happy as I ought to be, getting to see Monica briefly, I was left wanting more. She should be planted squarely in the middle of the Jason/Jake thing, but at least she got to find out she's going to be (OMG!) a great-grandmother.
Anyone wanna bet that Dillon's "sizzle reel" of the movie that he plans to play at the fundraiser will end up being that bit of video the intern accidentally taped a month ago, the bit with Dillon and Valerie discussing her sleeping with Dante? Anyone? Nah, didn't think so.
i thought it was weird that she has this grand house and Nina is stuck in a tiny apartment. It should be Nina, Franco, and Kiki in the mansion, or Julian and his whole crew. I would have loved to see Laura installed in a nice home too.
Maybe they are positioning Anna to be a bigger presence on the show. Who knows? Maybe they will add to her family?
I guess it's too late.
I am looking forward to the reveal on Friday. I predict a partial reveal, with the lie being held off.
