I'm curious. Why do we have NCIS Los Angeles, where there is no navy base, no Marine Corps base, no real naval presence at all (unless I missed something during my Navy days)? At least put them in San Diego for God's sake.

The first few shows have been underwhelming.

Also, I can't figure out what jurisdiction these people have over civilians at all. When I was in the Navy, NCIS had no jurisdiction outside of military installations. Have the rules changed?

Seriously, I watched the season opener last night and they had a scene where they were driving around in a $250,000 Aston Martin sedan. I've seen Callen drive around in an S series Mercedes which is bad enough. What are the producers/directors thinking?

They're thinking it worked for Miami Vice, so why not here. But seriously, it's not unusual for the higher levels of law enforcement to use cars confiscated from criminals on the job. What do you think drug dealers are driving? And with law enforcement today basically able to do ANYTHING it wants in the name of "homeland security," they've got lots of expensive goods to play with. Not to mention that a Chevrolet would stand out more obviously in many parts of LA than a Mercedes S Series would.

I think NCIS L.A. has much improved since it started even though it has a different flavor than the regular NCIS.

I love L.A. Tuesday's episode with the 6'5" Nate, and 4'11" Heddy undercover as mother and son was hilarious. And when Sam called Heddy "Shorty", I about died. I knew it would come back to bite him. NCIS and NCIS: LA are two of my favorite shows. I love the humor on LA, especially, and the romantic tension between Kensie and Deeks.

TOTALLY agree! That lil role playing they had at the funeral home was priceless...with Heddy flipping her dead fox' foot around...hilarious.

I agree that after some initial tweeking, the show has improved greatly. I enjoy it. I like the partnership of both Callen and Hanna AND Kensi and Deeks. It's fun and when they explore deeper issues, it's not so depressing...it is just good background. Yep, I do like this show!

Yes, of course...how could I forget those two? Even in this past episode, when Nate showed up, they were "in their groove"...wth with Eric and the kiss? It was funny...I think it's fair to say this is a good show.

I think the NCIS LA is still doing well.
