Yeah, most of them didn't turn out too well. I remember seeing interviews with one of the girls long after the show was over and she was a complete nut job. Screaming about conspiracies and just generally ranting and raving.

After Adam Rich (Nicholas) died recently.. I went back and watched their series premiere on Tubi. I had forgotten (or never knew), that Luke Skywalker was originally in the cast. He was let out of his contract to work on Star Wars, which was a helluva career move. But he did play the oldest son in Eight's episode one.

Something else that caught my ear.. there was a character named Ben Forrester in this episode, and I instantly recognized his voice as the narrator from the '80s Twilight Zone (Charles Aidman). And in Aidman's scene, he has an uncredited actor playing his son. I think this uncredited actor went on to be a rock star, but I couldn't find any confirmation.. I'm curious if anyone has watched this episode recently(?)

I never knew that about Hamill.

How many people are left from this show? Looks like all the kids save for Mary and Nicholas are still alive.

As far as I know they are. Although both Connie Needham (Elizabeth) and Dianne Kay (Nancy) both have fought cancer in recent years, so unless something has changed about that, I don't know for sure.

Betty Buckley is still with us (one of the adults, not the kids, but Buckley is only 5 years older than Grant Goodeve).
