I like the idea that if I ever made it to Carlo's Bakery I could actually afford to buy something from there. I read somewhere that the minimum for a cake at Ace of Cakes starts at $1000.

Then definitely, I don't even care to watch that show at all. I'm interested in accessibility. I want to watch something that maybe someday I could partake in.
Not watch something as a spectator that I could never experience. I'm pretty sure I'll never buy a $1000 cake in my lifetime.

I know I never would, I also think I saw that the Ace of Cakes shop is not open to the public you have to have an appointment. We are in DC on temporary assignment so my husband got on their website to see if we could possibly go there but nope, not without an appointment.
I think all the cakes are really pretty but I would rather have a pastry.
I enjoy Cake Boss. I love the whole idea of the family working together. No, they aren't perfect and I like that we do see some of the bickering. I do think the latter episodes are getting more staged. That's okay because I enjoy watching the show for the creativity.
I do wonder if the cakes are very good? Also, I wonder why the health dept. hasn't come down on them for not being sanitary? I'm familiar with the restaurant business and I know they have strict rules about wearing gloves, having a sanitary counter tops, etc. I just hope they wash their hands often. LOL.
Buddy and his "mia familia" are hands down the better cake bakers than Ace of Cakes. I, too, would love to visit Carlo's Bakery and just buy a cannoli. I'll bet it would be DELICIOUS!
