I thought the "duet" she sang with the guy 2400 miles away was just kind of weird...he couldn't be bothered to actually be there? They couldn't bother to get someone actually there for the on-site audience?
It was a reminder to me of why we don't have variety shows on today---so very few of them are done well.
I watched it and I loved it!
The "long-distance duet" with Brad Pasley did not bother me at all, of course it would have been better if he had been on stage with her but I loved the song and the way they performed it.
I also loved the funny small sketches there were in between songs, the girl sure has a great sense of humor!
The only negative? Too many commercial breaks, as usual...
I watched the first 30 minutes and fell asleep. Not because it was boring....just because I was tired. I love Carrie Underwood though. Such a nice girl in the middle of all the entertainers out there who are so cheap in the way they act & dress.
She is better to stick with singing because her acting was awful with the sketches I thouhgt. It was nice to have a blast from the past of Christmas specials but this one couldn't hold a candle to some from the past really. Her mom taking the stage and singing was a hoot.
Anyone else watch the Carrie Underwood Holiday Special last night?
It was ok- I found it kind of odd the way the show was done.
I thought it was going to be alot better then it was.
I saw it while clicking through channels, and immediately left as quickly as I could.
