I bought the hubster a new Remote Control for Christmas and I just had to tell you all how wonderful it is. I got him the Logitech Harmony One. I caught it on an Amazon deal of the hour type thing and saved a ton of money. This thing is awesome! We were using a Logitech 670 which is nice, but no where as wonderful as the Harmony One. I love the touch screen and how easy the buttons are to navigate and push. I guess that voice recognition remotes are the next stop.

My wife gave me the Harmony 610 for Christmas...and I love the fact that we've gone from 5 remotes to one. I'm sure the others are much fancier...and much more pricey.

+1 for logitech.

(don't mean to play moderator...but I did a search on Harmony remotes when I got this...and most hits came up in the technology forum.)

I love just having the one remote as well! I have a difficult time keeping up with them and coordinating them so this way I can put all of them up below the tv. This way I won't lose them and one is much easier to keep up with. I would never have paid full price and he got this one we have because it was so deeply discounted at the time.

No problem on the playing moderator. I figured I would post on the TV forum as I am sure that there are plenty of people (like me) that never go to the Technology forum AND I know that tons of folks don't do searches. There was only one other thread in this forum about remotes and it was a repair/trouble shooting issue.

We have a Harmony One upstairs and a Harmony 676 downstairs. My husband doesn't like the Harmony One at all and was upset that the 676 was falling apart. I found him a new 676 on ebay for Christmas. I prefer my Tivo remote because I don't need to put on my glasses to use it.
