has anyone been watching this?

i am thoroughly enjoying it as of the first episode (i skipped the second in favor of the bsg movie on sunday), although we'll see how it goes after the american idol audition week-esque thrill of watching people make unbelievably horrible dishes wears off.

so far i find all of the contestants really likeable, which is refreshing.

I've never heard of this, but it sounds like something I'd be highly qualified for. How do I audition?

maybe you can be on season 2!

for those who are unfamiliar, it's on the food network and basically they held auditions to find 24 bad cooks, then had them cook what they felt was their best dish for 2 famous chefs (anne burrell & beau mcmillan).

the chefs picked teams of 6 for each other based on who they thought had made the *worst* dishes. now they have to teach these people to cook, eliminating 1 a week, and at the end of the series the last 2 contestants will cook dinner for some food critics who think the meal is made by the famous chefs. whoever cooks the best meal gets a bunch of money.

I saw episode 1 too! I found it very funny, those guys are really pathetic as far as cooking is concerned, their dishes were kind of scary! But there are interesting personnalities so that should be OK to watch watch what happens. I hope I'll have the possibility to watch other episodes!

Never heard of it, but it does sound pretty funny. Love your response, Katzpur, "how do I audition".

I'll have to remember to check (blonde and CRS ~) and see when it's on....I'm sure I'll feel like I'm the World's Next Greatest Chef in comparison!

I have a refrigerator magnet that I take great pride in. It says:

"I prefer Hostess fruit pies to pop-up toaster tarts because they don't require so much cooking." A motto to live by.

Yeah, I'm really pretty pathetic. My sister, who is an absolutely fantastic cook, gave me a dish towel once that I had hanging in my kitchen for while a long time. It said, "The only thing domestic about me is that I live in a house." Sorry to say, it's true.

i guess it's going to be a pretty short series - they're actually eliminating one person from each team per episode. so they'll be down to the final 2 before too long!

If I want to watch the worst cook in America, I'll watch Paula Deen.
