Same As The Old Boss!! NBC Cancels HEROES, Orders Superhero Drama THE CAPE!! Cancels LAW & ORDER, Orders LAW & ORDER: L.A.!! -- Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

NBC is cancelling HEROES. About 3 seasons too late, if you ask me. THE CAPE seems like a sort of "modern day" take on the Lone Ranger. Could be either very cool or very, very stupid.

The rest of the line-up looks like more lawyers and unrealistic thirtysomethings.

Doesn't J.J. Abrams have a new show next fall? Any idea which network it's on?

Oh, and CHUCK and V are also coming back: Fan favs 'Chuck' and 'V' to return next season -- The Live Feed | THR

Glad to see CHUCK made it. V has the potential to be good, but right now, it just isn't. They need new writers.

The last two seasons on Heroes have gotten progressively worse. I went from never missing an episode in the first couple years to never watching an episode now. It's time to let it go.

Me, too. I watched it intermittently last season. This season, when I realized I'd missed the premiere and first few episodes, I realized I didn't much care. After the first season, the show never really had a point. They just meaned around, getting all angsty.

Like I said in another thread, when it's season finale was all the way in February, I knew it wasn't a good sign. While I'm kinda sad to see it go because I liked it from day 1, it has run it's course. Hopefully NBC gives it a proper send off. It was one of the peacock's few bright lights the last couple of years

I agree that nbc messed heroes up. They brought in too many "others" and the story became convoluted. I just hate when something ends, without closure.

I quit watching it two seasons ago. The show had way too many hateful characters for me, so I quit. I was told it was "better than ever" now, but I do not miss it. It ran it's course. Time for new things.

Let's hope V doesn't go the same way as Heroes. Very good in season 1, and then because it is renewed a lot of convoluted story-lines, new, useless characters resulting in a run-away and lost plot.

Old thread, but I'm just watching Heroes now on netflix (up to mid-season 3). I'm really liking it, tho, it's a different perspective watching it all at once vs once a week on prime time.
