i dont drive yet, but i need to find a place in tyler as soon as possible. i am very willing to be a tenant for someone who works at 3131 troup highway or within no more than 1 mile radius of that address.

Can your employer help you out by circulating a notice at the place of employment? If not, chances are you will have a better chance of finding what you are looking for after you move there and start work.
There is a Marriott Residence Inn a two blocks from there that might be affordable for a short stay while you try to find something else. Doing a Google search turned up numerous apartments less than a mile from that work location. Surely if you are able bodied you can bicycle or walk that distance, even in snow. You could even get your self an electric bicycle to make it easier.
