Same owner.

If you live in Austin, why would you need to wait to go to the metroplex? There's one right in Round Rock, lol.

Used to be one in Austin off of Mopac.

... I hope not. Razoo's is not bad for a chain restaurant. But I'd rather eat at Fat Catz anyday. Give me a locally owned unique restaurant rather than a corporate owned chain restaurant any day. Especially one as good as Fat Catz (if the food is anywhere near as good as their old location in Terrell.)

never been to fat catz, but i agree i would prefer a mom and pop shop over chain resto as well. that's why i would've preferred a korean resto since there arent much chain korean restos unless it's a japanese/korean combo. unfortunately, not a whole lot of koreans here to spread the korean good food around.

To suggest that Razoo's will put Fat Catz out of business is to suggest that Tyler is too small to support two Cajun restaurants. I believe both will thrive, and much prefer Fat Catz myself. Most people prefer independent or mom and pop restaurants to chain restaurants. Surely Tyler is not a city full of chain restaurant lovers.

To me the only cities that thrive off of chain restaurants are suburbs. Cities like Tyler while having a good amout of chain joints rely heavily on mom and pop shops because it's a well established city with it's own identity and history.

I am thankful that Tyler has the great restaurants that she already has, but if Tyler gets anymore new restaurants it is my hope and wish that it becomes either an In N Out Burger or a Joe's Crab Shack.

Joe's is pretty good for a chain restaurant. But I can think of at least 10 hamburger chains that are much better than In N Out.
