Not enough information -
You have 2 claims?
When did they start?

There might be some confusion at your unemployment office because the extended HR4213 allows the employee to continue on his first claim benefits if it is more advantageous which may be why they are now talking about two claims.

I'm guessing here that they haven't yet figured out how to interpret or apply this change which was done because often people starting a new claim year were penalized with a lower benefit because they had worked during their first claim year.

Since HR4213 was retroactive to June 2, there might confusion if you started a new claim year about then. Also, as I read this, the language is a bit vague as to how long you can continue on your first year benefits - if it's just through the tier you are on, or longer.

Read Section 3 here - state has 4 options:

http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-...213enr.txt.pdf

Sorry to say, you might need to wait a while longer until your state can get its act together on this.

Since you have a dependent, can you contact your local people on some housing/food assistance until your uec is straightened out? I don't mean move - I just mean they might have a program for temporary assistance in cases like this. You also might consider emailing your Governor's office. I did that and money was in my account in two days.

Again, I think PA has not yet figured out how to interpret and apply this new law.
