You all must have missed my earlier post on this thread. Mayo Clinic says plasma donations once every 28 days.

How often can I donate?
  • Whole blood donors — you can donate as often as every 56 days.
  • Platelets and plasma donors — you can donate as often as every 28 days.
  • Platelets donors — you can donate as frequently as every eight days, but not more than 24 times in a 12-month period.

Frequently Asked Questions about Blood Donation

Twice a month is even too often for plasma.

Well be that as it may - even though I'm atill highly skeptical someone is allowed to donate twice a week AND the amounts paid the OP claims, this is NOT a viable option for MOST unemployed I would venture.

I'm also wondering if this would be classified as "reportable earnings" for UE purposes.

I would think it is. I don't see the Admin willing to pay UC when someone claims to earn $4,800/month donating plasma. And the lab paying the donors $4,800/month has to justify the payments so they must keep records of all transactions with the names and addresses of the recipients.

OP so you are making $ 4,800 a month , over $ 48,000 a year donating plasma.

2 questions :

What do you do with $ 4,800 a month ?

Tax free , right ?

$4,800 x 12 = $57,600

Tax free? I don't know.

UPDATE:

I've been donating plasma twice a week for the past six months with no problems.
I have Chrones Disease (an auto-immune form of IBS).
I get $600 per donation -x- 2 times per week = $1200 a week in CASH
for a few hours of my time weekly.
Sure beats pounding the pavement lookin for work in this depression.
An appointment is required at least 24 hrs. in advance so they can
reserve a chair for me and have my cash payment ready.
They tell me this study will go on for at least the next five years
or more so this is a real Godsend in this economy.
I went down to south Florida for six weeks this past winter to
visit my folks near Sarasota.
They lined me up with a donation site while I was there.
I'm also working part-time to add to the above.
Not a bad gig at all.
