Pennsylvania - Received revised financial determination - Confused! (payment, work, money)

Hi there. My husband was on UC in Pennsylvania for a couple months, but went back to work this past Monday. However, I just received a revised award letter saying his award is $100 more a week than what he had received for this benefit year. So will they pay him retroactively for the underpayment, or are we just jipped out of the money because he's now not going to be on UC anymore?

Thanks for the help! My husband is working, so he doesn't have time to sit on the phone for an hour waiting to talk to someone, and they won't ever talk to me about his case (he even tried to give them permanent permission once, but they won't accept it).

Just in case anyone else need the answer to this question, I sat on hold for a long time yesterday and finally got someone who would answer my questions "generally" (as opposed to in reference to my husband). At any rate, yes, we'll receive a back payment. The woman said it has to be "requested" by the person receiving UC, though - but she was very nice and said she'd enter that DH requested it. So if you are in this situation, be sure to request your overpayment!!

Thanks for reporting that. Nothing is automatic it appears if the state owes you money. They'll tell you about it, but not pay it unless you call them. You were fortunate to get through and to speak with a sympathetic agent. Many people in PA have a lot of trouble calling - and - getting their money.
