My Tier 3 ends week ending 11/17 - but since tier 3 is only 13 weeks an odd number I will only have 1 week remaining in the tier when it finishes. Question is do I claim for just that 1 week on Sunday November 18th ? Also entering tier 4 will they put the 10 weeks into my account for tier 4 even though week ending December 29th when the EUC ends I will only have collected 6 weeks on tier 4 up till that point - of course assuming if I am still unemployed. Thanks....

I just did this today. File for the last remaining week on the 18th - it'll go through and you'll receive payment for that week.

I'm assuming they'll put all 10 weeks in for tier 4 but if benefits are not extended we just won't get the remaing balance.

mamajay is correct - I began collecting my claims every week beginning a few months ago, since NJ accepts weekly and bi-weekly pay-outs (for EUC Tier benefits). As Obama has been re-elected, there is a greater possibility that an extension beyond December will be reached.

i would not be banking on a new extension. however maybe they will extend the EB into 2013 and NJ might qualify for it. i don't understand how you can even guess how many jobs were lost on the east coast short term but the numbers should hit when they report in Dec.

Do you go back to claiming every two weeks from the 18th or do you claim every week until dec.29th assuming you don't find work in NJ?

Thanks in advance.
