Quick question. started unemployment on 9/16/2011 , $ 257 per week($514), $2056 max balance, ends 12/29/2012,tier 2.
recieve latter this week stating federal account balance has increased to reflect uo to 13 weeks of additional benefits referred to as tier 3, what does this mean? new extension or my last unemployment payment will be $2056.

Hard to say exactly from the info you gave. But I guarantee you that your last payment will NOT be $2056. If there is a balance left in your account on 12-29 and new legislation is not passed, you will not get the balance.

You have a new extension and your last UE payment of $257 will be 12/29, regardless of remaining balance. Your answer is the same as the one given here:
