Help! CA EDD - $0 weekly benefit? (file, receive, claim, work)

Hello,

I was wondering what the heck is going on with my claim? I received an award letter stating I will receive $0 dollars weekly benefit amount. The thing is I also received my edd debit card and a weekly continued claim form.
Has this happened to anyone?
I do apologize for asking but I'm panicking. I'm a pregnant and newly single parent with .39 cents in the bank lol

When did you first file for benefits?

Sounds like CA is still processing your claim and will send another determination. It is possible your wages have not yet turned up in CA's database. You may need to call CA and fax paystubs, etc. What is your employment history?

I agree. Sounds like there is still a determination in the works. Call them and see where they are in the process. It could be that they are waiting for the employer to report wages. Ask them to verify if the money has been reported (there is a 2nd computer system they have to look at to see this...isn't there always a 2nd computer? LOL).

At this point, you won't be able to contact anyone by phone. You have to use the online systems; apparently we are all just numbers in the system. Human dignity out the window. Leave a message in the EDD contact system AND THEN, go to Calif State Government and over on the right there is a contact "the Governor"...and lodge a complaint there. Encourage others to do so. This EDD system is SERIOUSLY FLAWED. We must complain. Good luck!
