My claim Started 4/28/13 - Ending Date 4/26/14 Maximum benefit amount $7150

I worked for and was let go after, 6-8hr days (m-f,Oct. 28-Nov.1 and monday,Nov.4) I earned $112. gross, for each 8hrs.

I incorrectly filled out the EDD form pertaining to the dates worked, so there were delays, yet payment of $275 for WE10/20-10/26 and 10/27-11/02, 2013 was issued on Jan 21st.

After a phone call today to them, they issued $550. (today) Im guessing it's for WE 11/03/13 to 11/17/13, even tho, that doesn't make sense since I worked one day (nov.4th) and my weekly benefit amount is $275... But said EDD will have to figure out if I qualify for further payments??(via any fault of their own) ... I was a bit confused at what he meant (didn't want to strain the situation)

If I do the math correctly, the $550 they issued today will bring my maximum amount to $7150 for WE approx. Nov 16th?

My question is, Would it appear that I would qualify for the extension that was current then, being Dec 28th, 2013?
He said it should take 8-10 days before its determined...But I'm trying to figure ahead of time, if this indeed is what he meant.

Also, my Web Cert has been listing weeks to submit forms currently up to 12/29/2013-1/11/2014 which I fill out. The status then saying Submitted.

I'm just lost at what this all means.

Thank you for your time,
I surely appreciate your thoughts

Yes, your claim qualifies. Your total base period gross earnings must exceed $11,000 (40xWBA).

You need at least $14,300 in earnings to be paid $275 for 26 weeks (50% of $14,300, or $7,150 - your monetary award).

Therefore, with gross earnings of $14,300 (well over the minimum of $11,000), your claim qualifies for EUC. No question.

Hi Ariadne,
I spoke with a EDD representative (a 'call center only' I believe) on Feb 12. He said that I might qualify for the Dec 28th extension.. tho I had to wait 8-10 days to see.
I didn't mention to Him that I had 'already' filed the claims for the weeks listed below on WebCert already,
Note; 11/17/2013 - 11/30/2013 running into the tail end of my initial award.

Shortly there after, forms for these dates arrived in the mail.
I'm confused -and- don't want to confuse matters "there" also -or- really mungle things up to cause a delay if they really wanted
to see these forms.

I'm wondering if I should send the forms in... (all of them in one envelope) with a brief note saying I had already filed these dates on WebCert?

Additionally, WebCert status on these dates went initially from Submitted to Issued, yet, He mentioned I'd have to wait (8-10 days) to see if I qualify...so I'm wondering if this latest status could change.

Beginning Ending Weeks Status
12/29/2013 01/11/2014 2 Issued 02/13/2014
12/15/2013 12/28/2013 2 Issued 02/13/2014
12/01/2013 12/14/2013 2 Issued 02/13/2014
11/17/2013 11/30/2013 2 Issued 02/13/2014

I dearly appreciate your help,
Sincerely,
Marie

Do not return the written forms. CA should not be paying you for the bolded two weeks above, as EUC payments ended 12/28.

Whether or not CA will change status on the above "Issued" I do not know. You'll find out soon enough.

just an update, i did get the extension for 5 weeks ( up till dec 28 )

Since what was my initial mistake of entering incorrect work dates on my form for that little job back in Nov and the long delays....grueling times. Days felt like eternity.

Grateful to Ariadne, Trusted her completely.

Also thankful to Nate. A person i spoke to a few times in Orange County, who after speaking with, things "seemed to happen" (super-super kind person)

Ariadne too. Can't even explain how her straightforward, knowledgable answers, rested my soul.
Adriadne, you help so many... i hope you know the depth of presence here. Thank you.

the lango of EDD so many times was beyond me"..i always could see 3 different ways to read them... oh! the night before the deposit, they sent a confirmation letter telling me to send in the forms.... thought i was going to loose my mind at that point.... the cross info was just wayyy tooo confusing.

Gratefull for the telephone list for the EDD #s listed in the threads. Had it not been for that...

Contacting EDD via the website.... waiting for an answer....that's where 8 days was eternity.. I know they tried, doing the best they could, i'm sure their hands are tied in many ways. i can only imagine they run into alot of emotional people... it must be so-so difficult.

i thought i was finished with edd...that the benefits were exhausted...

just received a letter..their scheduling a phone interview regarding the job I was hired for which let me go after 6 days. Also received 5 "individual" notices for weeks 11/30 thru 12/28, each of them saying the claim balance after this payment is 2475.00. !?!? talk about a different language-I have "no idea" "what" their talking about. ...i'm not counting on it.

(nightmare if i may say so, meaning defending myself against them. Looking back, their ad said "no-thing" about writing invoices +PO via software that I knew nothing of, in their job description listed on Craigslist. I was "eager" to learn, "happy" to be there, "never" complained. Here tho, how can i be an expert if its not my field. I would of stuck thru it-most definitely would of learned it!! The following day after they let me go, I sent an email saying I'd try again..that was a smidgen humiliating-but my point is, "i went beyond ego-i tried" ..nightmarish... to be let go after 6 days-I mean, anyone can read that and what does that make me look like)

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I submitted all forms listed on webcert up to 12/28/13, and that a week or so later
they sent me paper forms for the same weeks and I was uncertain what to do. Altho I filled them out, I didn't send them.....I think I should of...and will today.

please grant me a job, i can't take this anymore......back to applying

The people..who's job at EDD...their occupation.
I just don't know if I could be in their shoes.

I mean, maybe they experience happiness, but with the stats and everything...How hard it must be for them,
how many stories they must hear. My occupation never touched the depths of personal hardship(?), that these people must touch everyday.
