Claim Examiner Called and I think I blew it (receive, money, UI)

I filed for NJ unemployment on July 24th; same day i was fired from my job. I had my phone interview today. And the claim examiner was asking questions about why i was separated from my former employer and i said they let me go because i was not a good fit for the job. But in reality, i just stopped showing up. She said my employer's "agent" has 48hrs to get back to her. And i will receive a determination in the mail. Now my claim say "pended". I think im going to get denied. What do you think? No rude answers

It depends on their response. It'll go one of three ways:

1. They respond and say "They quit showing up and abandoned the job". You'll get denied and really have no appeal leg to stand on.

2. They don't respond, you get approved and steal money from the UI fund.

3. They respond, but flub their end and cite misconduct. You get hit with an 8 week penalty, then start stealing money.
