How does my employer respond to DES for unemployment? (employers, work)

That is a stupid question for them to ask since your job ended before that week right? Maybe Skip can chime in here I don't want to give you the wrong info. My guess is you would answer yes since you didn't start a new job but who knows. This is NC after all.

Yes. It did end before that week. I just don't know if it's referring to my actual full time job, or if they're asking if I had other work that week?

What did you put for that answer?

I put down yes. For the record I haven't gotten a penny yet. Don't know what's going on the website is sketchy at best keeps timing out and I see the same info for days when I am able to get on. Might be dead before I see any money.


Don't know about that other job might want to put that on hold.

Yeah it's crazy right now.

I don't have another job. My only job was my full time 40 hour job that got cut to 20.

I was just saying I didn't know if the DES had that question there in regards to other work a potential filer might have picked up or if it was referring to their main job they were filing for.

It's a strangely worded question. Nothing they ask seems straightforward. I just feel like every question is trying to make me mess this up.

Well we are talking about the state that cut max benefit from $530 to $350 so nothing is outside the realm of possibility.

If it ended BEFORE that week, it did not end DURING that week.
