Hi everyone

I live in NY, I didn’t work last year 2019, I started be a gig worker January 2020 until April 23 2020 I had no more work, I qualify for UI even my company doesn’t give me 1099? I received everything via PayPal.

You should based upon the information below. You will need to get your paypal transactions in order and printed out. Just remember states are coming back after the fact making sure what you claimed as earnings are actually reported on your following year's tax returns.

How to Apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance

You can use your most recent tax return as proof of income but you may also be asked for additional supporting documentation. For example, you may need to show bank statements, copies of invoices or records of electronic payments from clients you received via PayPal to show what you’ve earned.
