I have probably guessed the answer, but I'm asking just to make sure. Do I have to itemize in order to deduct expenses related to finding a job?

I have also heard so conflicting information about another question I have. Do I have to own a home to have an accepted itemized tax return?
Job hunting expenses are on Schedule A, Line 21. Like all itemized deductions, they must add up to more than the standard deduction.
