I am more ignorant than I thought when it comes to understand unemployment compensation benefits here in FL, so forgive me ahead of time. I am on my second round ( tier 2 I guess?? or maybe its my emergency benefits) of benefits. Its the same amount but 80% of the total making it last a bit less time. Anyhow, I was told on the phone by unemployment that I have one more tier (?) coming to me, then Im S.O.L.

I dont know if every state's benefits rules are so very different, and I also dont know if the tiers or whatever they are and the benefits therein vary greatly depending on a persons individual situation. When I did a search on this forum for FL info I found something about a deadline that must be met by 2009 in order to qualify for more tiers or EB or whatevers its called....I am confused and wondering if someone can tell me in clear terms if how many tiers you get depends mostly on your individual situation or if there are a set number of tiers or emergency or extended benefits that everyone gets if they get unemployment compensation at all. If anyone has understood this you deserve an award and thanks for any info on FL currently.
