I made $5 more than my UE weekly benefit, so they closed my account. Why?

My next paycheck will only be for 2/3 of what I would have gotten from UE. What do I do then? I won't get another paycheck more than UE until at least mid-April. What am I going to do?

what can you do. Save and stretch that paycheck. You can claim the difference on the 2/3 paycheck on UE and they will give you the difference. Your working then I assume on and off weeks. So the weeks you dont get a paycheck claim that you did not work on Ue, the weeks you do get a check if more you cant claim and the weeks you work its less you claim the difference on UE.

its not closed, call your Ue and tell them some weeks you work . some you dont, like temp jobs. Just keep claiming until you get a full time job. Dont stop. In otherwords. lets say UE pays 500 a week. Week one you work and make 400, you can claim the 100 dollar difference, week 2 you dont work at all, you can claim on Ue the whole 500, week 3 you make 505, you claim you worked 505 on Ue and you get nothing. But keep claiming unless its a full time permanent JOB!

Well, according to the paperwork they mailed me, the account IS closed. If I knew how to do it, I'd post a copy of it here. Meaning I can't even log into it to file another claim.

But I did call them, and explained the situation. They did re-open it, but gave me no assurance of getting any further payments. They just said I should file as usual and "see if it gets approved". They said that if the next claim is denied, the account will be closed again and the only way to re-open it is to go through an appeal process, or after I've worked 6 months.

Oh, and I'm glad there are those people who have any sort of savings to live on. But for me, I have no savings, and my bank account goes to $0.00 long before the next payday. Once the bills are paid, there's barely enough for gas for my car to get to work and a few groceries.
