I wanted to start a thread dedicated to energy vortexes. I'd like to get as much information as possible on where these energy vortexes are said to exist as well as hear about people's personal experiences visiting these vortexes. I'm aware of the following well-established vortexes:
The four energy vortexes in or around Sedona, Arizona (Cathedral Rock, Boynton Canyon, Airport, Bell Rock)
"Vortex forest", Mount Shasta, California
The "Oregon Vortex", Gold Hill, Oregon
Joshua Tree Vortex, Joshua Tree National Park, California
I've also heard that a "crystal" vortex is said to exist in or around Hot Springs, Arkansas but I have not been able to find it's exact location/center online. I'm particularly interested in this vortex if it does in fact exist.
Other than that, I've heard and read very little about energy vortexes in the eastern areas of the country.
Anyway, please feel free to share all information you have about the vortexes listed above, and please add to the list if you know of additional vortexes. Thanks!
When I was in Sedona and took a vortex tour, the guide mentioned that there was a pretty significant male energy vortex right under Manhattan. Makes sense if you think about it.
Energy vortex? Do you mean a hurricane and or tornado?
LOL no, though I suppose technically speaking those are energy vortexes. Swap air and water for spiritual energy and that would be the kind of vortex I am referring to.
Here's a pretty good definition of what energy vortexes are (talking about the Sedona vortexes):
You'll think I'm kidding.
But the Sedona locals know right under the Post Office.
They watch newbies for fun drive around in circles looking for
a parking space when there are plenty.
True story.
I certainly wonder about the Crestone, CO area.
All the stories point to a vortex.
I don't know about " vortexes" but I do believe that areas with large iron deposits throw off an energy field that can influence people. I know of two areas that that throw off my sense of direction and make it hard to navigate around. Both have large iron deposits and were former mining locations. Its like a magnet being too close to a compass.
Likewise the electromagnetic effects of storms( hurricanes thunderstorms or blizzards) seem to rattle some people.
My anti-vortex rant: I have lived near to Sedona for many years, back to the day when it was pretty much of a one-horse town. (My next-door neighbor is the great-granddaughter of the "Sedona" for whom the town was named.) I play golf there several times per year and hike there several times per year, often in the company of a very well known New Age guru for whom Bell Rock is a veritable shrine. Even though I have had several genuinely paranormal experiences, I have never experienced ANYTHING even vaguely out of the ordinary in Sedona. I tease my guru friend that "energy vortex" is a New Age euphemism for "tourist trap." I've never been anywhere so filled with "spiritual" types who were such obvious frauds.
In 2001 my wife and I, while on a business trip to Phoenix, visited Sedona, specifically to visit all four vortexes. On approaching the first one, we both felt strong vibrations in our hands and feet. That was the Post Office location. With the others, we also felt vibrations. My wife theorized that because the rocks are red, they contain a high concentration of iron. And because of that, the magnetism would be strong there. So although we experienced strong physical sensations, we didn't feel any kind of "spiritual" sensation. The nicest thing about Sedona is climbing up Bell Rock and hanging out there.
I highly recommend that you locate a copy of The Spiritual Reawakening of the Great Smoky Mountains by Page Bryant.
She points out all of the locations in the area, what they are and where they are.
Great book!
