Recently, we have decided to split our time between Ohio and a warmer climate. We were looking in Florida, and we were pleased to learn that there is a spiritualist community in Cassadega FL that was founded at the turn of the last century.

Many of you might be aware of The Lilly Dale Assembly in North Western NYS. Lily Dale was founded at the height of the interest in spiritualism in the US. It remains a lovely destination, with a very low cost of living.

If you are looking for a Summer vacation. Lily Dale has much natural beauty and an active spiritualist and metaphysical community. It's proximity to Niagara Falls, add to it's desirability as a vacation destination.

Because upper NYS becomes vet cold and snowy in winter, residents - or at least some of them - decided that they needed a place to spend winter. Enter Cassadega FL. Located 20 miles west of Daytona and 40 miles East of Orlando.

The Cassdega Hotel is a quaint older hotel that is haunted. There are activities at the hotel, including gallery readings, seances, lectures and more.

So, for the purposes of this post, I nominate The :illy Dale Assembly and the Casa Dega-Lake helen, Deland and Deltona areas.

What are your favorite destinations? I would enjoy hearing about them.

Mt Shasta City, home of the Lemurians and perhaps the flakiest small town in California. It's got energy vortexes and meridians out the yin yang. There are ascended masters galore, and a Wesak festival that's way more New Age than Buddhist. It's been described as the world's largest open-air lunatic asylum. It also has many outdoor recreation options.

Mt Shasta City has a generally lower cost of living, especially housing, than most of California, but higher than the national average.

Actually, no. Asheville, N Carolina, Sedona, AZ, and to some extent Santa Fe, NM are more into that.
