Okay, I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.
Thanks.
I'm looking at the weather forecast on tv for the 3rd October in the Blackpool area. 63 degrees and rain. You'll be OK...... just bring an umbrella........

Thanks. Does it say anything about it being windy? I wasn't sure if I can get away with wearing a jacket or if I need a long coat.

I hope you're not going to that part of England and expecting anything but crappy weather. 63 in late October? It will be more like 50-55 during the day, most likely wet and windy so pack accordingly.

Not late October... I'll be there on Wednesday for a week. It's not for a sightseeing tour, but I will be doing some walking from the hotel to the center where I'm going, which is about a ten minute walk. I can handle rain, but not a big fan of wind.
Btw, this is off topic, but does anybody here have experience with the train from Manchester to Blackpool? I see it's the TransPennine Express. Just want to know if I have to pay the fare in cash or will they accept a credit card. Thanks.

They take cards .
Sorry I read the late October thing. It will be pleasant temperature wise, but the west coast of Britain is notorious for changeable weather. Wind could well be an issue, depending on Atlantic fronts.
Even though you're not going for sightseeing, I hope you enjoy your experience in northern England. If you get the chance, explore Manchester itself. It's a bustling city with a vibrant downtown.

Great! I already have experience with the exchange rates from US dollars to BP... talk about a shocker and a mini-financial drain to my checking account!
Thanks much. That'll have to be another trip to Manchester. From Blackpool, I'm going to Ireland for five days, which I know is more rain... or showers... as they call them.
The Blackpool Illuminations will be on at that time.
