It's appalling.

From what I can see in the few pictures and clips, it looks that one side of the building is basically gutted. The fire started in the basement and the clips showed flames coming out of the attic windows. Which is not good.

I'm hoping there was minimal damage to the other half of the building.

I had a wonderful tour of the building some years ago. A true treasure, and no doubt it will be carefully restored.

Sad, sad news. Truly a stunning building, why is it always the good buildings? A school hundreds of years old burnt to the ground a few years back beside me. Was some builders who left a machine on.
